Global Minerals holds a mining lease on the Van Norman Quarter Horse Ranch, and owns the nearby Damn claim group, which together make up the Jerritt Canyon Project. The mining lease and the claim group adjoin the Yukon Nevada Gold land position in the Independence Range of Elko County.
Global Minerals Ltd. owns claims in heart of the historic Good Hope mining camp in the northern Tuscarora Mountains of Elko County, Nevada. The Good Hope project targets Carlin-type gold mineralization below alteration zones in Eocene volcanics covering carbonate basement highs.
These two projects are located in similar geologic environments, represent similar types of targets, and lie in the vicinity of the famous Carlin Gold District where over 55 million ounces of gold have been mined to date. 120 million ounces of reserves remain in the Carlin Trend, and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) estimates that the potential exists for the discovery of an additional 100-200 million ounces. Mines located on, and adjacent to these properties have historical and modern production.
Global Minerals also holds a mining lease on the Granite Peak Project, which is a Porphyry Copper-Molybdenum- Gold target, located near the intersection of major crustal structures in central Pershing County. This property was discovered in the early 1980's, and represents an entirely new and relatively unexplored porphyry copper district in Nevada.

- Nevada accounts for over 80% of US gold production
- The Carlin Trend accounts for the majority of Nevada gold production
- Carlin Trend gold production exceeds 65 million ounces to date
- Global has acquired mineral rights on 4 properties totaling 10,000
acres in Nevada
- A recent Economic Geology paper suggests that there may be another
200 million ounces of gold yet to be discovered in the Carlin Trend

Global Minerals’ Quarter Horse Ranch project is a Carlin-type, sediment-hosted gold prospect. The project covers 2,025 acres of fee surface, fee mineral, and unpatented mining claims through a mining lease. In addition Global Minerals owns the nearby Damn claim group, which cover the Thomas Jose target. The project lies within the Jerritt Canyon mining district, immediately adjacent to the Jerritt Canyon mines. Since production began in 1981, Jerritt Canyon has produced more than seven million ounces of gold (Queenstake, 2005).
Geological, geophysical, and geochemical compilation and field work has resulted in the definition of three target zones for drill testing within the Quarter Horse Ranch Project in 2007: the North Limb, Main Target, and South Limb Targets. These target zones have encouraging gold in drill intercepts or anomalous gold and trace elements in soils. Gold and trace element anomalies correlate very well with the intersections of these northwest trending structures and the prominent northeast trending Williams, Mill Creek, and Van Norman faults. The fault zones are also well defined by the gravity and CSAMT surveys.
Two vertical reverse circulation drill holes are planned to test each target, for a total of six holes. Drill hole depths will range from 1,000 to 1,200 feet, for a total of approximately 7,000 feet.

The Good Hope District is situated within a zone of “World Class” gold endowment where the
potential of finding a large, high-grade, gold mine is favorable. Past work has defined several large (>1000 x 5000 ft) areas of strongly argillized volcanics which host numerous silicified breccia zones and it is believed that the proposed exploration program offers an excellent opportunity to discover new Carlin-type mineralization beneath the shallow volcanic cover on the property. Several studies of the Tuscarora volcanic field have suggested that the hydrothermal fluids that generated the Good Hope, Buckeye-and-Ohio, and other small epithermal deposits in this district could have evolved from Carlin-type fluids by boiling and mixing with meteoric water. If so, the known mineralization in the Good Hope district may represent epithermal conditions above Carlin-type deposits, and Carlin-type deposits may lie beneath the district.
The target concept for the Good Hope Project is that high-level, epithermal silver and gold-arsenic dominated, volcanic-hosted, Eocene-aged, precious metal mineralization represents the top of mineralizing within favorable stratigraphic sections of lower plate sediments at depth. Geologic mapping, geochemical and geophysical survey have outlined several favourable target areas, which are ready for drilling.

- The Granite Peak Property covers part of a recently discovered porphyry molybdenum-gold target associated with a zoned igneous intrusive complex.
- These claims are located in the East Range of Pershing County, Nevada on the northern flank of Granite Mountain, and northwest of the historic Kennedy Mining District.
- The property is approximately 36 miles northeast of Lovelock. The Rochester silver mine and the recent Spring Valley gold discovery of Midway Gold Corp. are located less than 20 miles across Buena Vista Valley to the west, and the former Goldbanks open pit gold mine is situated in the East Range, about 15 miles to the northeast of the property.
- Barrick Gold Corp. holds the land to the north, and private parties hold claims covering most of the historic Kennedy Camp. The Kennedy Mining District is an old epithermal silver-gold-copper-lead vein camp.
